Viognier 2019

A lovely rendition of the variety, showing ripe apricot, fig, mixed spice and oatmeal characters on the nose, leading to a wonderfully weighted palate delivering succulent fruit flavours with richly textured mouthfeel, finishing long and delectable.

Colour:  light straw-green

Aroma:  The wine offers a complex array of lifted aromas of stone fruits, honeysuckle and violet.

Palate:  A dry, acidic, medium-bodied wine

Ageing:  Ready to drink now, but with careful cellaring will continue to improve for 2-3 years.

The vintage:

Bendigo’s weather through to harvest was dry but of moderate heat, providing good ripening conditions.  Yields were moderate.

Food Friends: Pair this Viognier with spicy Asian food or a variety of seafood or shellfish.
